Winner, Best Newcomer 2008 Melbourne Fringe
Nominated, Best Newcomer 2009 MICF
You may have seen Felicity Ward on The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, Spicks and Specks, Thank God You're Here or Good News Week. Now is your chance to see her award winning comedy show Felicity Ward’s Ugly As A Child Variety Show, before she performs her debut live show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009.
Felicity was ugly as a child. She had a pan toilet until she was eleven. She had a BETA video player until 1993. Her mum gave her carob instead of chocolate at Easter (Dirty hippy!). She pretended to have cerebral palsy in front of her Prime Minister. Through standup, characters, songs and electrocution-style trivia games watch her give new meaning to car-accident comedy. Felicity Ward’s Ugly As A Child Variety Show is directed by Spicks & Specks' Alan Brough.
'Warm, witty and brilliant' The Age 2009
'She is an irresistible force of nature... She's brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant' Chortle.co.uk 2009
'Felicity Ward is one of the naturally funny people I know. She not only has funny bones, she has funny marrow.' Adam Hills, comedian
This will be your last chance to see Felicity Ward’s Ugly As A Child Variety Show live in Australia. This show is an Edinburgh Fringe fundraiser so that Felicity doesn't have to eat Scottish cobblestones for the month that she is there. ‘Scottish cobblestones’ is not a euphemism.
