A Christmas Special, much like the “Nutbush”, only happens once a year.

But Felicity Ward (Spicks & Specks, Thank God You’re Here) thinks this is hogwash, malarkey, poppycock, and other euphemisms for bullshit. Christmas Specials are what all-day breakfast is to society: an untapped, inner resource of boundless joy!

So she has decided to host her own Christmas variety show.

Yup, for one week this October, the Rehearsal Room at the Melbourne Fringe Festival will be transformed into all things Christmas. Think National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, It’s a Knockout & The Big Gig, all rolled into one. There will be amazing guests every night, massive laughs, ridiculous games, bad segments, atrocious carols, mediocre presents and truckload of appalling decorations!

Is that the rumble of Santa & his reindeer on your rooftop, or just you & everyone you know psyched out of your collective minds about this?
