Laughing Stock presentsFelicity Ward reads from The Book of Moron
Winner, Most Outstanding Newcomer Melbourne Fringe 2009 Last year's Most Outstanding Newcomer at Melbourne Fringe is back and this time - SHE'S READING ESSAYS! Does this girl know how to party or what? The Book of Moron is a collection of short stories and essays penned by award-winning comedian and performer, Felicity Ward. Straight from sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, 2009 has been a big year for Felicity, with audiences in the UK and Australia rushing to see her debut live comedy show – Felicity Ward’s Ugly As A Child Variety Show. For FOUR SHOWS ONLY, Felicity presents The Book of Moron, an intimate performance of her humourous stories; experienced, written and read out by the lady herself. From an awkward interaction with a handicapped Big Issue Vendor to her personal struggle with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (or IBS as the kids are calling it on Twitter), there is no dose of personal truth that Felicity thinks should stay in her diary. Accompanied by her trusty canine, Dan Ackroyd (David Quirk) who is always attempts to impress, she waxes lyrical about why hash is a bad idea, why she'll never attend a poetry night again and why Martin Lawrence is the basis of her spontaneous hate group. You may have seen Felicity Ward on TV’s The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, Spicks and Specks, Thank God You're Here or Good News Week. This is her debut season of Felicity Ward reads from The Book of Moron. So come in, take a seat by an imaginary fireplace Felicity can't afford to provide as a setting, sit back and relax knowing that it didn't happen to you. 'Warm, witty and brilliant' The Age 2009 'She is an irresistible force of nature... She's brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant' Chortle.co.uk 2009 'Felicity Ward is one of the naturally funny people I know. She not only has funny bones, she has funny marrow.' Adam Hills, comedian
