NOMINEE - BEST NEWCOMER, MICF 2019 FINALIST - ABC FRESH BLOOD, 2017
In 2014, Nina Oyama moved from the city to start a fresh new life in the countryside - you know, like all good retirees do. Except she was 20, and instead of settling down, Nina got heaps of speeding fines, lost her driver’s licence four times and owed thousands of dollars to the government. She also became a black-market taxi driver, delivered a cargo of drugs across the state, and fell in love.
‘Nina Oyama Needs a Lift’ is a debut stand-up and wild autobiographical journey about trying to live life in the fast lane when you’re still on your P-plates. As seen on ABC’s Logie Award winning show Utopia and as a reporter on Tonightly with Tom Ballard. Most recently, she co-created and starred in The Angus Project and performed at the 2018 Just For Laughs Sydney Festival.
