    David Quirk wins Comic's Choice award in Melbourne

    April 21st, 2013

    David Quirk has taken home the prestigious Piece of Wood from the 2013 Melbourne Comedy Festival, with his show Shaking Hands with Danger. The Piece of Wood is chosen by the comedians in the festival, and counts David in the company of the great Australian comedians. He will now be taking to the show to Sydney Comedy Festival in May.

    Sammy J nominated for Best Comedy

    Fresh from his ARIA nomination for Best Comedy Album (Skinny Man, Modern World), Sammy J was nominated for Best Comedy at the 2013 Adelaide Fringe for his solo show, Potentially. A show about ninjas, blimps and the joy of swearing, it's now headed for a limited season at The Arts Centre as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival from Apr 8-15
